Gary Robbins, has posted pictures and a video he received from an SC student who also shot a short video of the missle we saw from San Clemente. The object was obviously further away an much higher up than it appeared from the beach, as can be seen from the picture at this link. I don't know... I invited him to post an embed of mine as well... We'll see!

Wild parrots are common in Orange County, California. Each morning and evening like a trusty alarm clock the pandemomium of parrots heading this way or that from Tustin to Santa Ana and the other way...

I caught this parrot in a palm on Golden Circle, near Cabrillo Park in Santa Ana/Tustin

Terribe focus though! I am still learning ot use my poor man's Barska/Canon digiscoping configuration. It's a reall bitch! Working with a new tripod now, hopefully this will make things a little easear. I'm going to get a clearer vid of these parrots, if it's the last thing I do!

Check out this Western Scrub Jay. I had the zoom set for smaller birds when this big ol' guy came whisping in... He only hung out for a couple seconds and went on his merry way. Now I wait and I wait, and Scrub Jay has shown up once, but didn't go up on the lookout point to perch, so I may have to take on some more aggressive tactics with this ellusively flamboyant beauty! We'll get him eating out of our hands if need be

This hungery praying mantis climed up under my front porch light and fed on moths, nats and other assorted passers by for several hours. He finally got scared off after a couple days of hanging out being my doorman and greeter. That little fucker sure could eat though! Damn! Like mother fuckin Santa Clause 'n shit!
